Hanika New Century Lattice

£2,673.93£2,920.03 incl. VAT where applicable

Lattice soundboard bracing + sound port in the side of the upper bout + elevated fingerboard + right arm rest are the player-oriented features which make the Hanika New Century Lattice stand out in the Concert Line. All solid, very high quality woods throughout.

First reactions? The right arm rest is much more comfortable for the right forearm when playing. The sound port gives a noticeable improvement to the volume and tonal quality as the player hears them, particularly in the lower registers; you can demonstrate this easily by covering and uncovering the port as a note is sounding. The version of the New Century Lattice with a cedar soundboard has a particularly rounded tone along with power, resonance and sustain. A stand-out instrument!

“My guitar is perfect for me … So easy to play … Perfectly adjusted  … Very light weight … Very comfortable … Rich sound and separated voices playing both finger picking or chords … I love it …
MSJ, France, 13/4/2021

The arm rest serves the dual function of increased right fore-arm comfort and also reduced soundboard damping from the arm or clothing. The design of the arm rest suits a conventional classical right hand/arm position with the wrist curved and the forearm crossing the lower bout at an angle of around 45 degrees.
